If you would like to take a truly unforgettable family holiday, hire a motorhome and make magical memories at Disneyland Paris.
You and your children could be discovering the Sleeping Beauty Castle and meeting Disney favourites like Mickey Mouse, Elsa or even Darth Vader. And when you hire a motorhome, you can save money and hassle on flights and hotels, as well as having an amazing road trip and holiday in France.
What may surprise you is that Disneyland Paris is closer than you think. It’s just 306 miles from Spaceships London – and that includes your Eurotunnel Crossing. That’s a over 100 miles less than driving from London to Edinburgh.
Spaceships Rentals has a choice of motorhomes or campervans for hire for your road trip. If you are taking a trip to Disneyland Paris, the Spaceships Family Motorhome would be ideal.
It can seat and sleep up to 7 passengers. There are two single bunks at the back of the motorhome with an over the cab loft double bed at the front. A further double and single bed can be made up in large living area if required.
There is a combined washroom with toilet, basin and shower as well as a kitchen with oven, hob and large fridge/freezer for all your food and drinks en route. All cutlery and cooking equipment is included – in fact, you’ve got everything you need – including the kitchen sink!
There is a large through-storage garage at the back of the motorhome for your luggage, as well as loads of cupboards and storage space inside.
From Spaceships London, join the M25 heading towards Gatwick/M23/M20. Keep right onto the M26 then follow the M20. Exit at junction 11a and pick up the signs for Eurotunnel. It’s a journey of about 80 miles that will take around 1 hour 30 minutes depending on traffic.
You can book your motorhome onto Eurotunnel online. It costs between £130 and £180 depending on the time of year, with your ticket covering the vehicle and up to 9 passengers.
To book your crossing, you can use either your registration number or size and specification of the vehicle. You’ll find your vehicle registration number on your Spaceships booking confirmation email. You can change the vehicle registration number on your Eurotunnel booking any time before you travel without penalty, so don’t worry if we have to swap your original vehicle. If you prefer to use the size and specification option to book, your motorhome is a Fiat Ducato campervan, between 5.5-8m and with a diesel engine.
Before you travel, you will need to be aware of current border regulations and complete some additional documents which you can download here.
Once aboard, sit back and enjoy the 35 minute journey under the English Channel, before piloting your Spaceship onto French soil.
From Calais, take the A26 towards Lens, then follow the A1 to Paris at Arras. Take the A104 before completing your journey on the D943 and D344 to Disneyland Paris at Chessy. Then the magic really begins!
It might be better to book into a campsite close to Disneyland so you can enjoy a full day at the resort.
Our partnership with the Caravan and Motorhome Club means you get temporary Club membership for your hire, giving you access to their 2,700 campsites at discounted member rates. You can also book your Eurotunnel or a discounted ferry crossing through the club if you prefer. Find out more here.
Your temporary access code for the Caravan and motorhome Club is on your Spaceships booking confirmation email. Just click the link to receive your code, and browse through the sites.
For a visit to Disneyland Paris, try the Caravanning des 4 Vents site at Crivecour-en-Brie. It’s a beautiful landscaped site with its own pool and playground and is a short 25 minute drive to Disneyland. There is also a railway station 20 minutes from the site with trains running into central Paris.
Paris is one of the world’s great cities and not to be missed on your trip. Take in the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and stroll over the beautiful bridges to the River Seine’s Left Bank. It’s the perfect spot for a coffee and a croissant or baguette at a Parisian café.
Another must-see attraction is Chantilly. Lying just to the north east of Paris, it is surrounded by the Chantilly forest and home to the magnifique Chateau de Chantilly. The Chateau features beautiful grounds with several gardens that you can tour by golf carts, scooters, bikes and even pedalo.
You'll also get a masterclass demonstration of how to make the world-famous Chantilly whipped cream. The 300-year-old Great Stables are home to the Museum of Horse, showcasing the unique relationship between humans and horses.
Your visit to Disneyland Paris will be a big part of your journey. But a #spaceshipsroadtrip will be an unforgettable experience for your entire family. Crossing the channel, driving through France, camping and life on the road will stay with you all forever. So what are you waiting for?! Hire a motorhome and make magical memories today!
