The Paris 2024 Olympics will be a festival of sport set against the magnificent backdrop of Paris, one of the world's most beautiful cities. Here's how you can book your transport and accommodation for the Paris Olympics.
Paris 2024 will be the 34th Olympic Games and will officially start with the Opening Ceremony on the River Seine on 26th July, before finishing with the Closing Ceromony at the Stade de France on 11th August.
32 sports will feature over 18 days of competition, with over 200 nations present. Team GB alone features 327 athletes, out of an astonishing total of over 10,500 competitors taking part in the Olympic Games.
There are a couple of new events including Breaking, a style of dance originating from the Bronx in New York in the 1970's, as well as Kayak Cross, which takes place on a canoe slalom course where 4 competitors race against each other.
Most of the events are set in and around Paris, at locations including a brand new aquatics centre near Stade de France close to the Olympic Village in Saint-Denis.
See the sights of Paris
Paris is of course one of the world's most beautiful cities, with some events taking place at landmark sights. There will be beach volleyball at the Eifel Tower, equestrian events at Versailles and archery on the lawns of the 17th century Les Invalides. The Champs-Élysées will be the backdrop for the marathon and cycling events.

In addition, handball and basketball will be held in Lille, shooting in Chateauroux in Central France with sailing in the south of France at Marseille.
The road to Paris
Spaceships London to Paris is just a 300 mile drive, taking around 6 and a half hours via the A16. The journey to Lille on the border with Belgium is even shorter - just 185 miles taking around 4 and a half hours on the A25.
Throughout Paris, various live sites will offer giant screens for public viewing, entertainment and cultural activities, allowing fans to get together to watch the games and celebrate. As an example, the magnificent Trocadero Gardens at the foot of the Eifel Tower will host the "Parc des Champions" which will feature a parade of all the previous day's medal winners throughout the Games.

There will also be several Olympic Fan Zones located in the heart of Paris. This gives spectators the chance to watch live events, participate in activities, as ell as enjoying French cuisine and culture.

Location: Bois de Boulogne, 2 Allée du Bord de l'Eau, 75016 Paris
Description: This is one of the most popular campsites in Paris, situated in the Bois de Boulogne park. It offers easy access to the city center via public transport. Facilities include modern amenities, a restaurant, and bike rentals.
Access to Olympic Venues: Good public transport links make it convenient to reach various Olympic venues.
Huttopia Versailles
Location: 31 Rue Berthelot, 78000 Versailles
Description: Located near the Palace of Versailles, this campsite offers a natural setting with plenty of facilities, including swimming pools, a restaurant, and organized activities.
Access to Olympic Venues: Close to the equestrian events at Versailles, with good transport links to central Paris.

International de Jablines
Location: Route de Jablines, 77450 Jablines
Description: This campsite is in a regional park, offering a peaceful environment with a lake and various outdoor activities. It's a bit further from Paris but provides a great escape from the hustle and bustle.
Access to Olympic Venues: Approximately 45 minutes to an hour by train to central Paris.
Camping Le Grand Paris
Location: Rue des Étangs, 95270 Nesles-la-Vallée
Description: Located north of Paris, this campsite offers spacious pitches and modern facilities. It's set in a natural area with a swimming pool and recreational activities.
Access to Olympic Venues: Around 30-45 minutes to central Paris by train.
