Obviously now is not the time for a fabulous Spaceships road trip in a motorhome. In fact, we have stopped taking any tourism and leisure campervan or motorhome bookings to comply with Government restrictions, avoid unnecessary travel and help slow the spread of Coronavirus . So at the moment, our fleet of Motorhomes is not on the road. 

Rent an on-site motorhome for essential service providers

So we are making motorhomes available to rent for people who need to self-isolate away from vulnerable family members, or to the dedicated crew of people who help to keep the UK going. Those people who provide essential services and emergency repairs to our hospitals, industry, transport and logistics network, heat, power and water utilities. Under normal circumstances, these key workers travel around the country, responding to jobs that may take days, or even weeks to complete. They may stay in hotels near to the site while working on the project. Unfortunately, many hotels are closing during the Coronavirus epidemic, and it is difficult to find places to eat that are still open.

Land on-site in a Spaceship

That's where an on-site motorhome can be useful. It can provide a safe place for team members to sleep, take breaks and live on-site in safety. You don't have the social distancing problems experienced in a cramped canteen, but you do have a kitchen and lounge/diner to prepare food and relax. After a hard day's work, there is a hot shower waiting. The motorhomes are also equipped with central heating, a toilet and a choice of comfortable beds. The kitchen features an oven, hob and large fridge/freezer, so whether you want a Pot Noodle or a pot-roast chicken, you're cooking on gas - LPG gas. At the end of the day, you can kick back and relax in the comfortable living area.

It also avoids non-essential travel, as your crew are on-site and ready to go next morning. The Spaceships motorhome is available for up to 4 drivers over 21 with unlimited mileage. 24 hour roadside assistance is also available.

Your own personal Spaceship

At Spaceships, we have our own in-house vehicle livery printer. We produce all our own vehicle graphics and fit them on site. That means that we can add your logo to your on-site motorhome to make it look like one of your own fleet of vehicles. In addition, we can add lettering like "Essential Service Provider", "Emergency Repairs" or "24 Hour On-Site Security" for example.

This would help with longer term rentals during this unprecedented crisis, by enabling service teams to travel to the next job on completion of the original project. This may also be useful if your team members are concerned about inadvertently taking the virus back home. 

We can deliver to site

We have three branches in London, Edinburgh and Dublin, and can deliver your motorhome to any site within 50 miles of one of the branches, free of charge. Alternatively we are operating a contactless collection/return. The motorhome is outside the branch with the keys left in a secure lock-box. The key code is emailed to you one day prior to collection. You simply leave the keys in the lock-box when you return the vehicle. This is exactly the same as our normal out of hours pick-up/drop-off service. We have now extended it throughout the Coronavirus outbreak so we can still offer collection and return 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Everything on board your on-site motorhome

All bedding, cutlery, crockery and cooking gear is included, and we also provide a mains electric hook-up and inverter to charge laptops and cameras. You can even catch up on your admin on-site. All motorhome amenities can be run off the motorhome leisure battery or LPG gas (heating,cooker, fridge) and when stationary the motorhomes can be powered from a normal plug socket or 230v generator via the electric hook-up.
